Bottle of the Month (December)

Of course my first Bottle of the Month is something you've probably never heard of (I was guilty of this as well). With this being my first go at blind tasting whiskeys and suggesting a bottle to the internet... I thought that I'd have to make a concerted effort to not rate anything too high. Well... That went right out the window with my first sip of this whiskey. You can find more in my review found here, but what a difficult whiskey to taste blind and try to put pen to paper. The great color, the hints of berry, and then transitions to more traditional bourbon notes such as nutmeg and brown sugar. Little did I know I was drinking whiskey distilled from rice.

Notes I compiled about the whiskey:

1. Distilled from Local Rice and Pure Water

2. Distilled in Stainless Steel Stills (As opposed to traditional copper)

3. Aged in new charred oak barrels (that's where I must've picked up all those traditional bourbon notes)

4. Only 3,850 bottles produced globally (Sorry everyone)
