Whiskey Advent Calendar Review #1
Sipping this whiskey brings me to a trailhead off the beaten path with no other cars in the parking lot. The morning starts with the sun rising in the sky and promising to warm up as the day progresses. As Goose and I take the path, we start off in high spirits ready to discover a new part of the undiscovered forest before us. As we get further into the forest, we begin to notice some bugs... then we notice the clouds have taken the sky for their own and left us with a chill. When we reach the summit, we find the view underwhelming, and make haste back to the car.
Well - at least we got outside.

Nose: Granny Smith dipped in caramel, a bit pungent but fresh like mountain air
Palate: Greeted first with lemon zing, followed quickly by that granny smith dipped in caramel, next hitting you with a dash of cracked pepper, finishing with a musky oak aftertaste that reminds you of the dark rickhouse it was aged in.
Color: A light Amber, similar to the first rays of sunlight on a cold winter morning.

Rating: 5.7/10

Mystery Whiskey: Heaven Hill BiB
